Why use it
You sell solar modules. The project needs seven years of maintenance. Now what?
A Kenyan procurement plan combines generation, distribution and years of operations. The product fits, but who delivers the whole project? That question changes the research task.

Imagine you are the module supplier's BD lead
You find a solar project and start preparing a message to your sales director. Then you reach the distribution network and seven-year maintenance requirement. You can supply modules, but who designs, builds and maintains the system? This is an imagined business role built around a public case, not a TenderLuma customer story.
The historical KOSAP plan presents that situation; it is not evidence of an opportunity open today. The immediate need is to understand the buyer, implementing organization and delivery partners, rather than collect ten more titles containing 'solar'.
Overseas market research often starts with a list of countries, hospitals, utilities or apparently relevant tender titles. A list can identify possible accounts, but it rarely explains which one deserves attention today. Repeating the search and reinterpreting requirements makes research dependent on individual memory and difficult to hand over.
Procurement intelligence connects discovery, original-source verification, qualification and an owned next action. TenderLuma organizes source research, opportunities, readiness and the project pipeline around that path. Evaluate the tool against work you actually need to complete, rather than judging it only by catalog size.
Decide your possible role before deciding to bid
A live tender supports a current bid assessment. Historical awards help you research how a buyer procures and which suppliers have served it. An award is not an open opportunity, and an early demand signal is not a confirmed order.
A module supplier might investigate direct participation, an integrator partnership or supply into a delivery chain. These are paths to verify, not arrangements guaranteed by a project title. Separate scope, participating entity and local delivery so each question reaches the appropriate owner.
| Information | Question | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Scope and lots | Can we supply the required package? | Read specifications and service scope |
| Qualification and delivery | Who bids and who delivers? | Verify evidence and partner arrangements |
| Award history and value | How has the buyer procured before? | Compare scope, quantity, currency and dates |
Create a target-account record in TenderLuma
Open customers and buyers, create a research account and retain official project and organization sources. Separate facts from inferences: maintenance is in the scope; a particular company might be a partner but still needs investigation. Assign that investigation an owner and date. Account research can continue before a live notice exists.
A shared workspace is useful when a team researches several overseas markets, repeatedly visits different portals or brings BD, product, legal and delivery colleagues into the same assessment. Shared notice links and evidence help participants discuss the same version of the requirement.
Try one market and one product category first. Completing one discovery-to-decision journey makes it easier to evaluate fit than creating many monitors immediately. For an occasional lookup of a known notice, a direct official-portal search may be sufficient; the public source directory helps you find that entrance.
Keep official documents at the center
Country and source directories are research entrances. A listed country does not imply that every notice has been collected, and an accessible source does not prove that its historical records have been ingested. Read source status, timestamps and missing fields alongside search results.
A product match, AI assistance or a checked readiness item does not establish eligibility. Verify qualification, product requirements, deadlines, clarification and submission instructions in the buyer's official documents. Saved items, pipeline access and advanced intelligence depend on current account entitlements.
Evaluate value through a small reviewable task
Define the trial task before you start: find candidate projects in a chosen market and explain which ones deserve detailed review. Afterwards, assess whether original sources were easier to locate, duplicate checks were reduced and each unresolved question acquired an owner. You can measure time to an initial decision, but a single trial does not establish a general productivity claim.
A useful output is a transferable assessment: why the project is relevant, where the evidence is, what remains unknown and who will resolve it by which date. A reasoned decision to stop can also improve the next research cycle.
